Graduate Recruitment

We were asked to find graduates wanting to be part of a leading team within one of the world’s major toy companies.  This company designs, develops, markets and sells the toys and games you loved as a child and creates new brands for a whole new generation!   How could any graduate looking to make an impact in a challenging yet rewarding industry where fun, creativity and passion count, ignore this opportunity?


Our client was looking for trainees to join their commercial graduate programme.  Together with our client we designed the recruitment process from start to finish.  We advertised throughout the UK on Graduate Prospects and university websites.  Roadshows were held at four universities where students had the opportunity to talk to members of our client’s team, watch their presentation, have refreshments, take part in a Trivial Pursuit type quiz and win prizes!


Interested graduates were required to complete an application form with details of their education and also details of their experience outside education and reasons why they wanted to work for our client.  Our client was looking for people with that certain something that made them stand out from the crowd.


We had a tremendous response, a long-list was drawn up and online verbal and numerical tests sent out followed by a short telephone interview.  Successful applicants shortlisted were then invited to attend a one-day Assessment Centre at our offices.  Prior to this they went on a tour of our client’s offices and had dinner with key members of our client’s team.


The outcome was very successful for both client and graduates: we were able to facilitate the recruitment of a new generation of graduates keen to make an impact for a client where fun, creativity and passion count; and who have subsequently been promoted to management roles within the company.
